WEINER WEINER ROAST
A TTOUCH in RESCUE Program
The annual Doxie picnic is here again! And we were
invited to "Celebrate them home...! with over 100 rescued
and up-for-adoption Doxies enjoying fun, food, and games.
Private TTouch sessions were available for one and all
Dachshunds and OTDs (that's 'Other than Doxies' dogs!)
This year's fundraiser was a helping hand for the many
Dachshunds rescued from the WV puppy mill.

the AKC Responsible Dog Ownership Day in Manhattan.
These events are educational, entertaining, and designed
to be fun for the whole family, with demonstrations of many
of the AKC activities that owners can engage in with their
dogs. Speak one-on-one with experienced dog breeders,
trainers, veterinarians and technicians--and, of course,
your TTouch Specialist! Low-cost Microchipping is offered
to ensure that owners have the opportunity to permanently
identify their dogs. Stop by for a fun day with your dog.

A TTOUCH in RESCUE Program
with Best Friends
at Pets Alive Sanctuary
Best Friends is helping Pets Alive Santuary in New
Jersey and put out the call for TTouch Practitioners
to work with the animals on site. Mary & Peg brought
TTouch to many of the dogs there helping them to
relax and feel more secure within their changing
environment. A few of our favorites: Kuma, a great
Akita who is blind but thoroughly enjoyed his session
and brisk walk outside his enclosure; and Chipper,
resident Beagle and self-proclaimed security guard!

The Touch That Teaches is brought to volunteers at
LHS for training and wellness instruction. TTouch in
Rescue programs are for animal welfare groups who
want to learn more about TTouch and how it can

FIDO is hosting this adoption
festival in honor of their 10th anniversary. In addition to adoptable cats, dogs, kittens, and puppies, this event features
a steel drum band, low-cost microchipping ($25, includes insertion and registration) for dogs and cats, and Ask the Veterinarian,
Ask the Trainer, Ask the Groomer, and Ask The TTouch Specialist booths. Also, the Companion Animal Parasite Council (CAPC)
will have a van at the event where people can learn about identifying and protecting their pets from parasites.
AUGUST

Brooklyn Cyclones' "Bark in the Park" Day
Dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens will be available
for adoption, and low-cost microchipping will also be available. Mindful Tails' TTouch Specialists will also be on hand to
"pitch" some loving TTouch to your pets. Maddie, the Maddie's Fund mascot, will throw out the first ball. More details TBA.
